Question: How difficult are your hikes?
Some are easy; others range from moderate to very difficult. We carefully match the hike to your fitness level and desire for adventure.
Question: What do you provide as part of the trip?
We always provide transportation from the arranged meeting place to the trailhead.
On day hikes we provide a hearty lunch and snacks.
On multi-day trips we provide all meals while on the trail, plus snacks. On backpack trips you may be asked to help pack some of the food, and you need to carry enough water for your personal use.
We provide a first aid kit and emergency items.
We provide for the disposal of human wastes.
Question: What do I need to bring?
Suitable clothing and hiking boots. Any medications or hygiene supplies.
For Day Hikes, you will need to carry sufficient water for your personal use in a day pack or some form of hydration system.
For Overnight Hikes, you will need a suitable backpack and personal camping gear.
Question: What if the weather turns bad?
Some of our hikes go into narrow canyons where storms bring danger from flooding. If rain is expected in the drainage we will go to a different area or cancel the hike.
Other than that, we hike regardless of the weather. We do not provide refunds if you back out of hikes because of weather-related issues.
Question: What is your cancellation policy?
Deposits are fully refundable up to 30 days prior to the trip. If you cancel after that, we do not refund any part of the deposit.
Question: Can you provide transportation to/from Salt Lake City or Las Vegas?
Yes, we can build that into the cost of the trip.
Question: Can I suggest changes to trip itineraries?
Sure. We specialize in customizing trips to meet your interests.
