Other Day Hikes

We guide to famous destinations like Calf Creek Falls and the Great Gallery in Horseshoe Canyon, and to many destinations that are less famous but equally spectacular. Some of our favorites are listed below. Let us customize an adventure for you.

Upper and Lower Calf Creek Falls

Easy to Moderate. These are fun, relaxing hikes along Calf Creek to gorgeous waterfalls. This is a photogenic area and includes Indian ruins, rock art and spectacular splash pools at the base of the falls.

Horseshoe Canyon

Moderate. Horseshoe Canyon is a treat for anyone wishing to visit rock art sites up close. This canyon contains some of the most interesting and well preserved sites accessible in a day hike. We will see dozens of painted figures in the Barrier Canyon style. Some are over six feet tall. The hike drops 750 feet from the trailhead to the canyon floor where the hiking is sandy but flat. The round trip of approximately 7 miles ends with a climb out of the canyon.

Pine Creek - The Box

Easy to Moderate. We follow the stream, wading several times and soaking if you desire, through a canyon bounded by high sandstone walls and pine trees, including some magnificent Ponderosa Pines. Side trips to waterfalls and numerous flowers make this a pleasant hike while getting your workout.
